Workzen

Workzen is a mobile application designed for daily emotional check-ins, allowing users to gather data on their daily mood and well-being solutions. We developed this solution as a team of three designers within a timeframe of two weeks. Our research encompassed all phases of the design thinking process.

Empathize

We were tasked with developing a solution around well-being. Therefore, we began by identifying major issues users face regarding their general well-being. After creating an interview guide to structure our questions, we interviewed 5 users. Notions such as managing emotions at work, stress-related issues during job searches, and the lack of respect for break times were mentioned by each user

Define

Following our research, we converged on a problem: How can we help employees and job seekers reduce their stress levels and achieve a better work-life balance through an app dedicated to well-being in the workplace without taking up too much of their time? We proceeded with the HMW method to formulate questions: How could we structure employees' days with moments of relaxation and personal time? How could we develop an intuitive digital platform that helps users recognize signs of stress and practice relaxation exercises to promote mental well-being at work and at home?

Ideate

Our ideation phase began with tools like Crazy 8, which allowed us to quickly outline major features of our app: daily mood tracking, verbal journaling, user emotional data analysis, meditation. The Workzen app was created for daily management.
